Photo Blogging Challenge: APRIL 2020 – MY WORLD

As I said last time I wrote anything here, when I initially mentioned this challenge, I really thought I’d be spending more time here, writing more, creating more, sharing more, but it’s just not been that kind of month. It’s been weird, being home ALL the time. Not going outside nearly as much as we expected too either. My world is often my desk, and the two “common” rooms the family tends to share, where the boys play with action figures and LEGO sets and we all play Xbox games or watch TV. On sunny days, my world is the back yard, where the garden is, or the front where the rain garden is. All Kellie’s doing really, I’m just manual labor on those projects.

But this is a snapshot of our urban paradise. Neighbors mere feet away, but green and bright on good days, and yes, there’s flowers later in the year. Hope you enjoy.

  1. That last shot is pretty much how I think many of us are viewing the world right now, through a filter of some kind. At last in the last couple of weeks, we’ve been able to open our windows and let some fresh air in.

    • Thanks for checking out my post! I hadn’t meant for it to be any kind of commentary, but I think you nailed it. I think I *need* the filter sometimes or what I see out there is too overwhelming

  2. The world is pretty much still on hold, so it’s nice to see some greenery and outdoor scenes, even if viewed through a screen. Nice take on the prompt! 👌

  3. Based on how quickly vegetable seeds have sold out here in Calgary, and how many people we see working in their yards when we get out for our daily walks, you and your family are far from alone in turning to gardening and yard work to feel a sense of purpose, pride and connection. Tending the earth is a balm to the spirit – especially important when we’re all trying to figure out how to live our best possible lives when there’s a distorting filter on everything.

And Lego! Every quarantine is better with Lego! 🙂

  4. OK, I’m finally catching up on some comments and visiting. Will take some time, but it’s coming!

Good set of photos for this challenge! And Legos are never bad!
